Ralph Moore decided to run for mayor in 1991 and has faithfully served the community for 13 years. Using his training and expertise in urban planning and public administration, Ralph has helped shape a different Union City, that is meeting the ever increasing demands of an exploding and evolving Atlanta metro-area.
A few of Mayor Moore's accomplishments include:
- New development standards for housing.
- New fire station along High Point Road.
- Development of the 'Three City' water and sewer authority to sever the water ties with Atlanta.
- Assisted in the development of a Regional Jail Authority that resulted in the construction of a new courthouse and public safety building at no cost to tax payers.
